Akili Edu is an educational platform designed to help students practice tests and improve their learning experience. It offers various features for both students and teachers.

To get started, simply sign up for an account on our platform. You can choose from different subscription plans based on your needs.

No, you do not need to be part of a school to fully benefit from Akili Edu. You can simply sign up and subscribe to the Student Plus subscription to practice and test your knowledge using our content-rich lessons, practice tests, mock exams, AI tutor, and interactive assignments. While schools can use our Teacher Mode to organize classes and track student progress, individual students can access all features independently through their subscription.

The Student Plus plan includes access to all subject lessons across IGCSE, WAEC, EGCSE, IEB, and JC curricula, unlimited randomized tests based on lessons according to programs, timed mock exams with saved scores and a history you can review (including papers aligned to programmes such as WASSCE, ECESWA, and UK GCSE boards), comprehensive progress tracking and analytics with detailed metrics, AI-powered interactive exercises, and priority support. You can take as many tests as you want to strengthen your knowledge. You get comprehensive coverage of subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Geography, and more depending on your chosen exam board.

We do not have a free trial. However, free students have limited access to all programs, lessons, and tests.

You can take as many tests as you want! There are no limits on the number of tests you can take. We recommend taking tests after completing each term to reinforce your learning and track your progress. Regular testing is excellent practice for exam preparation and helps you identify areas that need more focus. The more you practice, the better prepared you'll be for your actual exams.

IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is recognised by academic institutions and employers around the world and is considered by many institutions as equivalent to the standard GCSE. The IGCSE exam is widely used in international schools and accepted in many countries, including: The United Kingdom, United States, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macao. Akili Edu offers curriculum-aligned IGCSE courses and practice tests to help you prepare for these exams.

Akili Edu currently supports IGCSE (widely used in the UK, US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Italy, and Macao), WAEC for Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia, Eswatini (EGCSE & JC curricula), and IEB for South Africa. We cover a wide range of subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Geography, and additional subjects like ICT, Government, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Accounting, Agriculture, and Business Studies depending on your chosen exam board.

IEB (Independent Examinations Board) is a South African assessment body whose National Senior Certificate is written by many independent schools and recognised by universities in South Africa and abroad. On Akili Edu the IEB programme covers Mathematics, English Home Language, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Economics, Geography, Accounting, and Business Studies. Mathematics and English Home Language are available now, and the remaining subjects are being rolled out.

The WAEC (West African Examinations Council) program on Akili Edu covers five countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia. Our WAEC curriculum is designed to align with the examination standards across all these member countries, providing comprehensive coverage of subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, Geography, and Government.

The AI Tutor is available in every lesson and allows you to ask questions about the lesson content. It requires a Student Plus subscription. Subscribers can ask up to 10 questions per minute, and the AI provides contextual explanations based on the specific lesson you're studying. The AI Tutor understands the curriculum and can help clarify concepts, provide examples, and answer questions about the lesson material.

Each lesson includes a 5-question knowledge check quiz at the end to test your understanding. These quizzes help summarize learning, track progress, and measure your comprehension of the lesson material. You receive immediate feedback with explanations for each answer.

Mock exams are full-length, timed papers designed to feel closer to real exam conditions. Questions draw on exam-paper style material and past-paper patterns for supported boards and certificates (for example WASSCE, ECESWA, and GCSE pathways including boards such as AQA). After each attempt you see your score, can review your answers in detail, and access your history from the mock exam area. Randomized tests, by contrast, are shorter revision checks generated from lesson content. Lesson quizzes are quick five-question checks at the end of a single lesson.

The passing score for mock exams is 80%. If you score below 80%, you can retake the same mock after 3 days. If you pass with 80% or higher, retake is available after 7 days. While you are waiting, the Mock Exams page shows "Available in X day(s)" on the card, Mock Exam History shows "Retake in Xd", and the result page shows the same countdown and disables the Retake button until the cooldown ends.

Teacher Mode allows educators to create and manage classes, assign quizzes and tests to students, monitor student progress, and provide feedback. Teachers can organize their students into classes and track their performance across different subjects and lessons. This makes Akili Edu a powerful tool for both individual learning and classroom management.

Akili Edu tracks your progress across all lessons and tests. You can see your performance on individual quizzes, overall progress in subjects, and areas where you may need more practice. We provide comprehensive metrics for all taken tests, allowing you to track your progress over time, see improvement trends, and monitor your test scores and accuracy. The system provides detailed analytics to help you understand your strengths and identify areas for improvement.
